Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine is an integral part of natural medicine, that has a long history of use. Nutrigenomics

The term ‘nutrigenomics’ originated in 2004, and can be explained as “how our food affects the expression of our genes”. This is a powerful approach, as it enables us to support and up regulate the body's natural healing mechanisms. Functional Breathing Training
Buteyko Breathing Method
Named after Russian medical researcher & doctor Konstantin Buteyko, Buteyko Breathing is essentially breathing retraining. Dysfunctional breathing is extremely common & has a huge negative impact on our health. Signs your breathing is dysfunctional, include mouth breathing, frequent yawning, sighing, sniffing, waking with a dry mouth, and snoring. Conditions associated with dysfunctional breathing include asthma, sinusitis, allergies, hay fever, chronically blocked nose, sleep apnoea, snoring, reflux, constipation or diarrhea, impaired immune function, poor stress tolerance and anxiety. The way we breathe influences the functioning of our airways, blood circulation, our nervous system and emotional regulation, cardiovascular function, and oxygen release to the cells. Both adults & children suffering from these conditions can be significantly helped by use of the Buteyko Breathing method. This method can profoundly improve physical and mental health.
The Buteyko Breathing method is taught via a series of sessions, usually held about a week apart, with homework and daily practice to improve breathing patterns between each session. Over time, with application of the breathing exercises you learn, you will restore healthy functional breathing long term (via neuroplasticity), improving your health now and long term.
Oxygen Advantage
The Oxygen Advantage is a science backed breathwork training program developed by Patrick McKeown, an renown international expert in functional breathing. It incorporates a collection of breathing exercises designed to enhance your health and athletic performance. As an Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor, Beth is certified to guide you through this innovative programme, which centers on two core principles: restoration of functional breathing and simulated high-altitude training. Learn at a pace that suits you, whether online or in person. Oxygen Advantage focuses on improving how you breathe in all aspects of your life, including daily activities and exercise, to optimize your health and performance.
Beth is both an Advanced Oxygen Advantage instructor, and an Internationally Accredited Buteyko Breathing Method practitioner. Her breathworks consultations utilize whichever method is most suited to you, and can include a combined approach. Buteyko Breathing Method focuses on restoring healthy, functional breathing for anyone experiencing chronic symptoms and/or may have received a diagnosis for a specific health condition. Oxygen Advantage on the other hand, is incredibly helpful for anyone who considers themselves to be in generally good health, and wants to proactively support and/or enhance their health and wellbeing. This method can help high performers, take their fitness and sports performance to the next level. Each breathworks consultation will be highly tailored to suit each individual, so initially the focus may be on using the Buteyko Breathing exercises to address and resolved symptoms, however, subsequent sessions may be more focused on the Oxygen Advantage breathing exercises to take your physical and mental health to the next level, and really support you to be operating at your full potential.
